3. Template

We will set up a time to digitally measure your countertops (aka template), and while we are there, all necessary appliances and cabinets should already be installed with sink and faucet present. Please also remove all items from your countertops.

After the template, we ask that any adjustments you may want to make to your countertops be advised to our team as these are the exact dimensions we will fabricate your countertop. Prairie Stone uses an all digital templating system to create an accurate measurement of your kitchen. This ensures a tight fit that you might not get from hand measuring - especially in old homes with uneven walls.

4. Fabrication

After you have selected your slabs, we start the fabrication process. During this we are carefully laying out all measurements and templates on the slab(s) chosen. As we do this, we are checking for details such as the flow of the veining on the granite and the best place for the seams.

5. Countertop Installation

The big day is finally here! On the day of the installation please have a clear walking path from the entrance and into where we will be installing the countertops (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) Please remove all items from your countertops and if we are removing existing countertops, remove cabinet drawers and clean out base cabinets. We are proud to provide quality work with as little interruption as possible. Post-installation, our crew will leave your house the same way they entered it.

Still have work to do on your home? We have contacts for custom cabinets, plumbers, and electricians - just ask!
